(2007) Sign up for what YOU can bring! Things we NEED.Hiya! ^_^
Here is a list of things/areas we will need covered by the meet-attendees, please choose one area that you will take care of, and claim it:
Items we still need:
- Light Desserts (Cookies, Muffins, Cupcakes...)
- Potato Salad (whatever goes in a potato salad...)
- Cheese Tray (Swiss, Cheddar...)
Claimed items:
CrazyCatLady - Veggie/Fruit Tray (Celery, Carrots, Strawberries, Dip?)
Anime Amy - Pop Drinks (Soda, Root Beer, Sugar/Caffiene-Free...)
Lady Satine - Lunchmeat Slices Tray (Ham, Turkey, Salami...)
Eskara - Cracker Tray (White, Wheat, Whatever...)
Lemondrop Wishes - Heavy Desserts (Cake, Fudge...)
Fire Muse - Regular Drinks (Milk, Juice, Tea...)
***As Sheena has keenly noted, we WILL have EASY ACCESS to a REFRIGERATOR. So, anything that needs to be kept cold can be put in there until we use it. Thanks, Sheena! ^_^ ***
Please post and let us all know which one of these items you will take care of. I will update this list with sections taken. Whatever you bring, make sure there is enough for approximately 6 to 8 people. Not too much, otherwise there will be tons left over!
You can absolutely team up with another meet-goer for a food section if one of these alone is too much for one person. ^_^
We also ask that you do TWO THINGS with the food/drinks you bring:
1. Set it out when you arrive, make it accessible. You'd be surprised how many good things don't get eaten because nobody is willing to open the bag or cut the first slice!
2. Take home (or give to someone) any leftovers of your stuff.
Tableware will be provided by the lovely Sheena: Cups, Plates, Napkins.

I would be happy to bring some sort of dessert, but it's too early for me to know exactly what. This meet is a little closer than the Indiana one was.

That's fine! ^_^ Do you want to just go ahead and claim the Light Desserts category? You don't have to decide exactly what you'll bring right away! Either way, just give me a heads-up, OK?

Sounds like you are interested in one of the Desserts sections, too! ^_^
Hmmm... Cupcakes, I'd say 8 - 10. A cake, I'd say medium-small. I know that seems like too little, but trust me. If everyone is bringing this amount for their food section, there will be MORE than PLENTY for everyone. ^_^ Make sense?
Kalahari... do you want to claim the Heavy Desserts section and do a cake and some cupcakes?

Fudge would be great! If you still want to make a small cake, though, that's fine... maybe coordinate with Sheena on different types? (Vanilla, chocolate)

Hmmmm... not sure how to list you on the 'assignment' list... Light Desserts is not actually claimed yet, but...
AW, whatever. I'll assign you to Light Desserts, and if Candlelight wants to do that same category as well, that'll be fine. ^_^

Probably should have mentioned this before but there is a refrigerator there so if you are worried about keeping something cold we have that covered. I know it might have seemed hard to bring something like potato salad because you would have to bring a cooler. But no, we can just keep it in the fridge until time to eat.
If that makes anything easier on anyone....

LOLI just have to say i was looking at what all we are bringing and what all we need to bring and I find it highly amusing that at this point we have fruit and baked goods!!!! LOL Something tells me we all better have a sweet tooth when we get there!

I can bring pop drinks. I will probally bake some cookies also. I love bakeing ^_^. Im comming from 2 hours away so me bringing anything that needs to be kept cold is out for me so I'll bring the drinks ^_^

Lady Satine - just one of those prepackaged trays or something should be fine. Not too much, overall. The idea is NOT to bring enough to feed everyone... just 6 or 8 people. If everyone does that, there'll be more than enough to go around.
