(2007) Officially-Planned Meet Games so farWe just wanted to let everyone know what activities we already have planned so that you can give us your additional ideas.
So far we have a trivia quiz
a surprise fill in the blank game - that's name would give it away so I can not explain it......you'll have to wait and see.....
and a door prize
please share any other ideas or suggestions

new gameWe have also decided on a custom contest. Probably with a first and second place prize.

We will likely run a Meet Raffle, with various prize choices. ^_^ Accordingly, additional raffles should be discouraged. If anyone came to the 2005 Fair, you know what happens when there is more than one Raffle going! @_@ Augh! Disaster!

We are also hoping to have (also inspired by the Indiana meet) a play area for younger meet-goers...
This will have some played-with playsets and ponies to play with! ^_^ Anyone can join in... (heehee).
I believe we will also have coloring pages and crayons for a drawing table, as well.
Any other ideas for our younger players?

I PMed you about this, Fire Muse but I'm going to post it here. How about a "Pin the Tail on the Pony" game. Someone could either draw a picture of a tailless pony or print one out and cut the tail off. To make the game more intresting maybe the tail could be made from strands of yarn or embrodery floss.
Also maybe a pony pinyta? I don't know if they sell them in stores (store bought cardbord pinytas are really sucky anyway) or maybe someone could make one or two.

I think the "Pin the Tail" game is a great idea! ^_^
I think the pinata game is NOT a good idea. The facilities are not set up for that, and I don't think the Library will appreciate it if we accidentally suddenly have people with broken noses! ^_^
Do you want to run the Pin Tail game, Kalahari?

I think that would be a fun game. We were trying to come up with one that involved a little physical activity.
I also agree if you want to be in charge of runing it that would be a good idea.
Also anyone who wants to donate any prizes is welcome to. We have lots of activities planned to win stuff!!

Does anyone still have any of the board games from the 80s? Perhaps someone could bring some of them if they are alright with them being used. And yes, I'd love to run the Pin the Tail game.

I have the new Pony Memory game, yet that's another sit-down quietly game. I'll bring it if anyone is interested in making it a Meet Game?
Also! I have an idea for a REALLY fun game/activity, but it's not pony-related, yet. I MAY be able to pony-fy it, but maybe not... so it may be just a regular deck of cards. It's basically the game Pit, which probably nobody knows, but it is LOADS of fun, and gets people laughing and jumping out of their seats! ^_^
I'll try and set it up.

How about an "Ugliest Fakies" contest? Also maybe a scavenger hunt (limited to one room) if the library people would allow it. Maybe a word search/cross word puzzle with names of diffrent ponies and hand them out as people leave (not excatlay a game but still kinda neat).

Neat ideas! I've added two of them to the other thread in this forum.
I've not added the Scavenger Hunt... the room is pretty big, but it's not THAT big. And I don't think anyone would like it if people start pawing madly through their nicely-displayed ponies in a mad rush to find some item on a Scavenger List. Unless... I'm confused about how the game works? O_o

Yes the word search sounds like a good idea! There are websites that you can make work searches on but I'm not sure about crosswords.
